Who are we?

Julia Braxton

Julia Braxton is a cofounder and consultant for RevampED Learning. She also works as a Curriculum Resource Teacher and Equity Lead in the Office of Professional Learning for a large public school district. Her job revolves around to creating professional learning opportunities for teachers and county leadership centering equity. A former high school social studies teacher, she enjoys remaining connected to learners through her job as an adjunct professor at Reach University where she works to prepare future teachers to teach hard history through culturally responsive pedagogy. Julia recognizes the struggles that educators face in feeling trapped by the "system" and aims to empower teachers to make changes within their spheres of control. Her goal is to bring antiracist, culturally responsive, and equitable practices into traditional learning spaces.

Who are we?

Rachel Baxter

Rachel Baxter is a cofounder and consultant for RevampED Learning. ​Currently serving as an Instructional Technology Coach in a large ​public high school and an adjunct professor at the Oxford Teachers ​College at Reach University, Rachel specializes in helping educators ​design innovative, student-centered learning experiences rooted in ​cultural responsiveness. With a PreK-12 administration and ​supervision license and years of experience teaching social studies ​to diverse learners, Rachel brings a wealth of expertise to her ​consulting work. She excels in using data to inform decision-making ​and crafting impactful learning experiences, focusing on areas such ​as equity, project-based learning, and equitable grading practices. ​Rachel is committed to empowering school leaders to create ​affirming spaces for all members of their communities. With a ​passion for professional development, Rachel offers tailored ​consulting services aimed at helping school leaders revitalize their ​educational practices and foster inclusive environments.
